IN MEMORY OF: Alexander Fu Sheng (October 20, 1954 – July 7, 1983)

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the passing of the oldschool fan favorite Shaw Brothers star, Alexander Fu Sheng. He passed away at the all too young age of 29 yrs old. He was driven by his 3rd brother in his Porsche 911 and took a sharp turn and crashed into a wall approximatedly 10:30pm. He passed away at 3:43am in a hospital room.

He was best known for his good looks, boyish charm and mischievous nature. He starred in such Shaw Brothers classics as:

  • The Chinatown Kid
  • The Brave Archer I-IV
  • Heroes Two
  • Five Shaolin Masters
  • Disciples of Shaolin
  • Shaolin Avengers

It can be argued that he was the trailblazer for Kung Fu Comedies which were successful vehicles for Jackie Chan, Billy Chong and others.
